The SmartFold Bench is purposefully designed to provide the optimal cutting platform for the Evolution3 SmartFold cutter. Its exceptional stability and perfectly flat surface guarantee precise and reliable accuracy for every cut. The bench incorporates an extremely robust aluminium extrusion on the cutting edge, ensuring an ideal cutting platform.
Constructed using the patented Proteus method, the SmartFold Bench offers a solid and secure foundation for precise cutting. This unique construction technique maintains its stability over time, essential for achieving optimal clamping and consistent, reliable cutting throughout the entire length of the cutter bar. The assembly process is straightforward, with concealed internal fittings for a seamless finish and maximum safety under heavy loads.
Equipped with adjustable feet, the bench can be easily leveled on uneven floors, ensuring the flatness required for precise cutting accuracy. It comes without a pre-installed worktop, allowing users the freedom to select their preferred sheet material, including glass. Standard 1.22m (4') wide boards can be used for the worktop, or wider 1.525m (5') boards if the cantilever extension is added. The recommended worktop thickness is 18mm (3/4") to achieve a flush finish with the base plate of the Evolution3 SmartFold cutter.
Thanks to its integral strength, the SmartFold Bench can be extended to accommodate a 1.525m (5') width worktop using a specially designed cantilever system. The kit for the cantilever extension is included as a standard feature. This extension not only enlarges the workbench but also provides an overhang that allows for the fitting of a stool or tall chair, providing comfortable working conditions and ample legroom. The cantilever is attached to the rear, non-cutter edge of the bench, while the Evolution3 cutter is mounted on the front edge, benefiting from stronger support and a custom mounting plate.
