The Evolution3 BenchTop Bench is specifically designed to create the optimal cutting platform for the Evolution3 BenchTop, ensuring reliable and precise cuts every time. It provides a strong and solid foundation necessary for accurate cutting. The unique patented Proteus construction method guarantees a secure and rigid workbench that maintains stability over time, enabling optimum clamping and consistent cutting along the entire length of the cutter bar.
Assembly of the Proteus construction is simple, and the internal fittings are concealed for a flush finish and maximum safety, even under heavy loads. The Evolution3 BenchTop Bench features adjustable feet that allow for precise leveling on uneven floors, ensuring the flatness required for precise cutting accuracy. It is supplied without a pre-installed worktop, giving users the freedom to choose their preferred sheet material, such as glass. Standard 1.22m (4') wide boards can be used for the worktop, or wider 1.525m (5') boards if the cantilever extension is added. A minimum thickness of 18mm (3/4") is recommended for the worktop to provide a stable surface.
Thanks to the integral strength of the Proteus construction, the BenchTop Bench can be extended to accommodate a 1.525m (5') width worktop using a specially designed cantilever system. The cantilever kit is included as a standard feature, allowing for an overhang that provides space to fit a stool or tall chair, offering comfortable working conditions and ample legroom. The cantilever extension is attached to the rear, non-cutter edge of the bench, while the Evolution3 cutters are fitted to the front edge, benefiting from stronger support and a custom mounting plate.
